Southern Waste Disposal is a 12-year-old waste collection and disposal company that operates two Mississippi Department of Environmental 
Quality approved Class 1 C&D landfills.  Southern Waste Disposal’s residential and commercial service area includes eight counties in Central Mississippi and West Central Alabama.   The acquisition includes office and shop facilities as well as front and rear load trucks, containers and roll-off vehicles located at 200 Braxton Avenue in Meridian.

Wyatt & Bowman has been in business since 1967 serving a wide variety of commercial customers throughout the Asheville area from 1476 Riverside Drive in Asheville.  The acquisition includes compactors, containers and vehicles that will support the expanding residential and commercial collection, recycling and disposal operations from Waste Pro’s expansive Ashville facility.

Earlier this year, Waste Pro made the largest acquisition in the company’s history when they acquired Delta Sanitation in Gautier, Mississippi.

Waste Pro is one of this country’s fastest growing privately owned waste collection, recycling and disposal companies operating in six southeastern states.  Serving more than one million customers, Waste Pro USA is headquartered in Longwood, Florida and maintains more than 96 exclusive municipals contracts and franchises.

Safety has paid off for three Waste Pro drivers in Florida and Georgia.  In New Smyrna Beach two brothers, Vernon and Walter Wolfe, each received $10,000.00 checks for their outstanding three-year safety and customer service performance.  In Athens, Georgia, residential driver Juan Ramirez was the third Athens Waste Pro Division professional to earn the bonus.

When the producers of the next film “Big Momma’s House” needed a good looking garbage truck they came to Waste Pro Georgia.  Our truck ended a downtown Atlanta car chase in the film which is scheduled for released next year.

Eight gleaming Waste Pro trucks graced the exhibit floor of Waste Expo 2010 the week of April 3 in Atlanta’s Congress Center.  In addition to the front loaders, residential and recycling trucks, Waste Pro unveiled a new display booth with flat screen monitors telling the “I Am Waste Pro” story.

April, 2010—The City of Cape Coral’s selection of Waste Pro has helped to push our customer totals to more than 1,000,000 throughout the Southeast.  Waste Pro took the contract valued at more than $10 million annually from Waste Management.

The historic town of Melbourne Beach, founded in 1923, on Florida’s space coast is now a Waste Pro customer.  Waste Pro is serving approximately 1,550 residential garbage, recycling and yard waste customers.

Waste Pro trucks were prominent when CNN network news covered the launch of an innovative recycling program in the City of Hollywood, Florida.  The program rewards residents for participating by offering points that can be redeemed at local retailers. This is the second city in Florida and the first in Broward County to offer the program.

The paint is barely dry at Delta Sanitation’s (a Waste Pro Company) new Mobile Division in the suburb of Theodore, Alabama.  With our typical configuration of office and high bays, the new facility is off to a strong start taking advantage of Delta Sanitation’s great customer service reputation.  Delta Sanitation is based in Gautier, Mississippi.

The Birmingham News profiled Waste Pro’s investment in our major recycling center in Tarrant, Alabama.  The newspaper recognized our commitment to diverting municipal and commercial waste from landfills by a creating a murph that may become the national’s largest.  Recycling is not new to Waste Pro Alabama since our acquisition of American Recycling of Alabama’s Bessemer facility.

Teaming with State College of Florida in Sarasota, Waste Pro helped break the world’s record for the most plastic bottles recycled in eight hours.  Partnering with the College’s Earth Club on Earth Day, Waste Pro loaded and compacted the bottles into a rear loader to be weighed at our regional facility.  The result was a record 4,980 pounds of plastic that did not go to the landfill.
